Hey girl hey! Welcome to The Modern Girl’s Doula. My name is Jessica and just like you, I wear many hats. I am a wife, Mom to two crazies, teacher, aspiring doula, and half crunchy gal. My life blends all things natural with southern traditional basics. As I embarked on the weird journey that is motherhood I noticed something–there were two big groups of Moms: Natural-hippie-breastfeed-until-their-8-moms and formula-get-the-epidural-work-outside-the-home-moms. What if I wanted to be both? What if I want essential oils and a full face of makeup to go to the grocery store? What if I want organic food for my baby and hardcore sleep training? That’s when MGD was born. As I helped my gal pals through the fog of postpartum life, (from nursing, not nursing, sleep training, scheduling, care for mom, you name it!) I learned that there is a new category of Mom. Half crunchy. Half regular. All modern girl.
